I have never been as hooked on a series of books like I have with The Bellator Saga. Caroline and Jack’s story continues right where Dissident leaves off. It is entirely focused on Caroline, her memories and her experiences with her new grim circumstances. I don’t want to write a full summary for fear of accidentally giving any spoilers.
This book does not disappoint. If you fell in love with the characters, plot and superb writing as I did, you will love this installment just as much, if not more. We are treated to an intimate look as to how Caroline and Jack’s relationship has developed and blossomed into something deeper and more beautiful than before. Ms. London has turned up the heat, which nearly fried my Kindle. More importantly is how she beautifully shows us the growth between the characters, individually as well as a couple. I absolutely adored Caroline and Jack’s interactions, which ranged from impossibly sweet and loving, to some of the wittiest banter I have ever read. I felt like a friend to them, able witness first hand what a fantastic relationship they have together. It’s clever, it’s romantic, it’s suspenseful and it’s HOT.
The writing continues to be as fluid and well-crafted as in Dissident. I can’t praise this book enough. It kept me up well past my bedtime, which is always an indicator of a five star book for me.
